Labor Day Fly In Breakfast

On Sunday, September 2, the Canyon Pilots Association and the Canyon Country Ultralight Club served 1000 + breakfasts at the Wellsboro Johnston Airport in Wellsboro Pa.  This event has become a tradition to many area residents, camps and visitors.  Several folks stated that on Labor Day and Memorial Day Sundays, "we know what we are doing every year."  Still others who made this breakfast their first time to attend, said they plan to tell their friends and will be putting this event on their annual calanders.  Pilots flew in from as far away as Harrisburg and several from upstate NY as well, despite some marginal weather enroute.  Motorcycles may even out number airplanes but all agree this is not just a breakfast it is "an event." Breakfast proceeds help support local aviation and aviation education.  We thank all who attend and support our event.  A special thank you to our local R/C Flyers who planes always add a special element for the attendees to see.

7:00 am Sunday. "The Calm Before The Storm" The line crew is ready for the crowd.

The line gets long but moves quickly.  The food is well worth the short wait!

The breakfast crowd always has a chance to walk the ramp and look at aircraft up close.

A Cessna 180 Sky Wagon.  Very nice aircraft, inside and out.  Fast too!!

The Airport Authority is ready for snow!  Big snow is no issue for N38.

RC J3 on Floats.  Jack Browns Sea Plane Base in Winter Haven Fl. would smile seeing this!

Airplane rides were available thanks to Costa's Air Service from Painted Post NY
